Dr. Abrams will typically schedule one 50- minute session per week or bi-weekly; some sessions may be more or less frequent based on need and what you and Dr. Abrams have agreed upon. Session length may also include time spent scheduling follow-up appointments and paying fees.
Your appointment time has been specifically reserved for you; being on time will ensure that you receive the full time scheduled. If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please cancel the appointment at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged a late cancellation or no-show fee.
Please call Dr. Abrams at 732-733-6413 or email her at email@example.com during normal business hours to schedule an initial appointment. Prior to beginning treatment, Dr. Abrams offers a free 15- minute phone consultation to discuss your treatment needs, goals and to answer questions about Ascension Behavioral Health services. Once you begin treatment, scheduling requests are managed by a scheduling assistant. Voice messages left for Dr. Abrams are accessed and retrieved by only Dr. Abrams via confidential voicemail (732.733.6413). Dr. Abrams checks voicemails as her appointment schedule will allow.
Dr. Abrams offers a free 15- minute phone or in office consultation to help you decide whether you want to pursue services. If you decide to continue, the fee for the initial assessment is $180.00. This session costs more due to the extra time involved in an initial evaluation. The fee for subsequent 50- minute individual sessions is $150.00; couples’ sessions are $180.00 for 50- minute sessions. In addition to in person counseling, Dr. Abrams offers video or phone sessions on a case-by-case basis, and only to residents of Georgia.
For non-clinical services like report writing, telephone conversations lasting longer than 15 minutes, preparation of records or treatment summaries, and time spent completing individual/specific requests, Dr. Abrams' hourly fee is charged (prorated if less than one hour needed).
*Fees are subject to annual review.
Office hours are Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. Dr. Abrams will let you know if she is in the position to offer treatment services beyond the first appointment.
