 A Seat at the Table

A Seat at the Table

On April 2nd, 2017, Dr. Abrams will be featured on a panel with advocates for the improved health of women of African descent. The panel will focus on issues re: the physical, mental and emotional effects of racism, sexism, relationships & stereotypes within the black community the contribute to health disparities. We plan to look at how history, politics, power & money play a role in how black women are perceived and how this translates in work spaces, family life and social/romantic partnerships. If you or someone you know can benefit from a supportive space to talk about your experiences and learn more effective ways to take care of yourself, join us!

Continue to keep an eye on the blog for more events with me that focus on mental health and bringing more education & awareness to the community.
